Landlords paid 88.7% of asking price in July as 56% of investor offers came in at least 10% below
Hamptons data from Connells shows landlords paid an average 88.7% of the initial asking price in July, with 56% of investor offers at least 10% below — the highest share since April 2020. Chain-free cash buyers hold the leverage in a slow market. For sellers, especially of leasehold flats, that pressure is landing: 27% of those low offers were accepted, up from 18% a year ago. Investors remain just 14.1% of purchases.
