Falkirk leads commuter asking price growth at 13.5% as Glasgow and Manchester belts outpace southern hotspots

Rightmove data published 24 August put Falkirk top for commuter asking-price growth at 13.5%, average £183,596, with 10 of the 15 fastest-growing areas near Glasgow or Manchester and 12 priced under £250,000. Affordability is doing the work: buyers are reaching for value within range of big cities. Southern hotspots moved the other way, Haywards Heath down 4.8% to £461,066. For sellers in pricier commuter towns, that argues for realistic pricing rather than holding out.
